Piano tuning: artistic and scientific
Piano Tuning is an art that the technician possesses to bring a piano to it’s beautiful sounding tone and musical moods and colors to the pianist. The generating of a tone in the piano is achieved by scientifically designed principles of string vibration and wood characteristics that transfer the vibrations to the human ear.
A well designed piano consists of many different factors that are found in the qualities of wood and felt. Tone quality is directly dependent on quality of materials and workmanship in building a truly special product of musical quality.

I’m a piano tuner and repair technician with many years experience in the piano business. I grew up working on pianos in my Dad’s shop and learned the trade which included complete overhauling of grand pianos and player pianos and even pump organs. I learned how to restring grand pianos and redo player piano bellows fabric.
